Greetings again from the state with 10,000 lakes. Chris is having more testing done as we speak. they would not let me go back for this one....? He will aslo have a spinal tap today. We are praying that it will be painfree and he will not get a headache from it.
We are soooo ready to go home!!! Hopefully we will be done with all the Mayo clinic stuff tomorrow afternnoon, then Thursday morning back to the Minneapolis airport and home!
Chris has been feeling pretty good. He does get wore out if he has to walk alot so we have been making use of the wheel chair the clinic provided.
We had a good 3 day weekend while here. Saturday we walked down to Silver Lake and saw all the Canadian Geese that stay year round, because of the warm water, provided by a powerplant. There were hundreds of geese, I will post pictures of everything when we get back home. From Silver lake we took a taxi to the theaters and watched The Switch and Sectarait.
Sunday we went to a local Baptist Church that provided transportation. Herd a great Sunday School lesson and sermon. It was a very welcoming church, really glad we went. Then we took it easy the rest of the day, ate some left overs, read and went to bed early.
Monday was my 29th birthday and we went to the Mall of America. The place was HUGE!! We had a really good time. We did not buy much, but enjoyed walking around (rented a wheel chair 4 Chris) and looking at all the stores and displays. That night we went out to dinner, and had a wonderful time.
Hopefully the next time I post we will be back in ARKANSAS!!! :)
Love you all and thank you so much for all the prayers!!! Much Love!!

Mayo clinic
We are here at the Mayo Clinic. This will be a quick update so excuse my spelling, grammer etc.
The team of neuroligist this morning still think its ALS after 3 hours of exams. He is had several test run today and will continue to have to go all over this huge place thur October 13th for more test, consultations etc. I know the test are necessary to find out what it is for sure, but some are so painful. During the last one they stuck needles in muscles all over his body, including his tongue. Of course he is taking like a trooper. He said "if this helps 1 person get saved, it is so worth it."
I feel like God wants it proved that Chris has ALS. That way when he is healed there will be no other explanation of his healing other than GOD! This is just so hard to see my love have to go through all this. I really hate it. I feel like a big baby as I sit in this waiting room and fight back tears. Chris is being so stong and I am barely holding myself together.
He just got done with testing/exams today, they start again tomorrow at 7 am. We will be up here over the holiday weekend Oct 9-11 so maybe we can do somthing fun. I will try to updated again soon. Thank you for all your prayers, facebook & text messages! Some of the scripture I have got today come at just the right time! Love to all! ~Autumn & Chris

A Fun-Filled Saturday
Yesterday we went to Hot Springs for what our little family calls "a kid day." We headed out the the Legends Hot Air Balloon Rally first. Unfourtanely, the Balloons could not fly because of the wind gust, it was to dangerous for the piliots. But we did see a huge car show and the kids got to do a huge inflatable obstacle course while there. They loved that!
First we stopped by our favorite fast food place, Taco Bell, for lunch!!
As for the car show, I have no idea what models, years etc most of the cars in the pictures are,
I will leave that to you car buffs. Chris was saying what years & stuff, & I was hearing
"blah blah blah" ;) I took pics of the ones I thought were pretty!
The guys scoping out a hot rod
Brittany had had about enough of the car show!
They stand just alike!
They loved the obstacle course
He made 2 out of 3 baskets
After the kids zone we headed to Eryk's Birthday party at Central Bowling Lanes.
He is in Braxton's class at school. The kids had a blast! Thanks 4 letting us come Coleman Family!
Lucky for you the bumpers were there!
Braxton & Carly Beth. Corn dogs, chips, cake & Dr. Pepper
Chris & Caroline (Carly's, Ethan's & Laci's Mommy)
I bowled a high score of 66 I believe. I did get teased that maybe I should have played with the bumpers like the kids did! I had fun though, thats what counts. The Hog game was on while we were at the bolwling alley & the game was going really well for Arkansas. We liestened to the rest of the game on our way out to Bonnerdale to see some of our cousins. Well you all know what happened with the game..... :(
Out at Bonnerdale we looked at the house my Great Grandmother lived in all her life. One of my cousins is having it completely redone & it looks fantastic. Chris and I sat on the porch and visited with Jess, while the kids played out in the dirt.
View from the porch where I spent my days until I started Kindergarden
God's Handiwork!
On the way home from the country we got to see the most beautiful sunset.
Such a wonderful way to end the great day we had!

County Fair
Today after Chris & I picked up the kids from school we took them to the Pike County Fair in Glenwood. We saved some money by going early before we had to pay a gate fee to get in & the rides were not operating yet. Good for us adults, bad for the kids! I think they had a pretty good time anyway! They got to see lots of animals, arts & crafts, photography & some really cool exibits! We also got to vistit with some friends and had a cheap, but good dinner, and the money went to a good cause, sponsered by the Glenwood Sr. Adult Center. Beans & cornbread for Chris and I and hot dogs & cookies for the kids.
At first Braxton was a little alarmed by all the poulty noises
He liked the fluffy chickens!
What he thought of the cow barn!!
Britt was not wanting her picture taken
but I did get this smile out of her :)
Our dear friend Julie Berry feeding her daughters goats vanilla wafers
Another Berry Farms Goat
Braxton got to pet Haley's Sheep that he said felt like carpet!
Petting a bunny & getting bunny ears!
Braxtons best friend (since birth) & classmate
Carly Beth's Grand Champion Drawing!
Congratulations Carly!

Camping Trip
We have really been enjoying Chris not having to work near as much. He works 32 hours a week now, which is a huge change from the 50+ a week he has worked for the past 3 years. We are getting some of the family time we need! Praise the Lord!! We went on a camping trip last week to Kirby Landing. We had a great time & even got to know some new friends who were camped pretty close! While camping, Brittany got to attend a Birthday sleepover with the girls from her class. She had such a great time!! Sunday I grilled the best pork chops I've ever had, (Landrys beef & pork marinda is great.) Monday night we drove down and got on the point overlooking the lake & looked at all the stars. Our God's creation is just so amazing!
Braxton was out early, sleeping in the tent before dark Sunday!
Mimi & Our camping puppy Blaze!
Brittany & Poppa roasting marshmallows
Smores time!!! Yummy!!
Sleepy Brittany!
Still had his Thomas stuff even in the tent!
We had a really good weekend. Friday the kids and I met Mimi, Poppa,Aunt Jacinda, Aunt Nancy & Uncle Ron at the fish nest! We are really loving this new Friday tradation! The kids went home with Mimi & Poppa for the night. Chris & I went over & visited with our friend Leah & her precious boy Chandler. It was nice to get to catch up! Saturday I worked at the shop and then that night Chris & I had a date night! Dinner then back home to watch a movie!
Sunday we went to church. We have a wonderful young adults Sunday School Class the we enjoy so much! We have some great friends in our class & we love getting to study God's word with our friends! The Fagan Friends t-shirts were ready for pick-up this morning. I have lots to get delivered & some to mail! There will be another printing if you still need to order one! Thank you everyone who has ordered shirts already.
After Church we headed to Norman. Mimi had a yummy lunch fixed. Then our friend Rebecca Beck took family photos of our family in Norman & at Crystal Park. I can't wait to see the photos. Rebecca is such a talented photographer! Her creativity blows me away!! Here are some photos she took of the kids back in the summer.
Our church is sponsoring a benefit fundraiser for us on Sunday October 3rd. I know there is going to be a huge brisket dinner with all the trimming. They are suppose to cook up 200 lbs of brisket! There is also gonna be gospel singing that will last well into the afternoon. Please come out and have lunch with us that day! There will also be t-shirts for sale. Everyone is welcome. Come worship with us before lunch, or just come out to lunch after you get out of church! I will post more info when I have it. We will be leaving the next morning, making our way to the Mayo clinic in Minnesota!
Chris has been feeling good. He is having some problems getting up from the floor sometimes and his walking speed is slower than normal. His speech has not been messed up in 3 weeks though! :)
Thank you all for your Love, support & prayers!!! We love each & everyone of you!!

Calm Waters
We have a Mayo Clinic Appointment date set. We are to be in Rochester, Minnesota on October 6th at 8:45 am . We have to be prepared to be there from three to six business days. We are planning on leaving on October 4th because with the kind of plane tickets we have there is a risk of getting bumped, so we have got to make sure we get there on time. We are very excited about going and are praying that GOD has the right doctors lined up for Chris! We are just really really gonna miss Brittany & Braxton while were gone!
I have got several t-shirt orders over the last couple of days. Orders for the 1st printing are due September 12th. If you have any ?’s you can email me at autumn_Fagan@yahoo.com All the proceeds from the Fagan Friends T-shirt Fundraiser will be used on expenses incurred while at the Mayo Clinic. We know Chris getting to go to this special clinic is a gift from GOD! A door has opened and we are going to take it!!
I got another shock today, not the 1st & it probably will not be the last, when I got another person acting like Chris is dying. It really bothers me when this happens. Where’s the FAITH people?!? I just don’t know how to react when I am approached like that. It hurts me. I know what GOD is doing! He is taking such good care of Chris’ and I see him getting better everyday!!! I think that’s why I like this blog so much, I can put my feelings into words and not worry about getting broadsided.
I had a little extra time today so I drove down to the trestle bridge in Glenwood. I was sitting at a picnic table eating a late lunch & talking to God, because I was still bothered by the earlier encounter. It began to lightly rain. So I got in the car & turned on the radio. I had a Mercy me CD in & the first line that began playing was:
Word of God Speak
Would you pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see
Your majesty
To be still and know
That your in this place
Please let me stay and rest
In Your holiness
Word of God speak
I’m finding myself in the midst of You
Beyond the music, beyond the noise
All that I need is to be with You
And in the quiet hear Your voice
I could not help but just laugh. Gods timing is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Word of God Speak would you fall down like rain! Really!! I then felt like I needed to drive down and park closer to the water. This did not make much sense to me because I would have been parked more in the rain, but when I have one of those feelings I feel like comes from God, I listen.
So I drove down and parked. I was looking out at the water and it began to rain harder, bigger drops. The water all around was stirred up, splashing, bubbling and making rings, except for the water under the bridge. It was so calm, peaceful, tranquil. Then I realized that’s what life is like. We have storms, agitation, things all around that stir us up. But when we ask God to be ruler over our lives and give it all to him, we are like the water under that bridge. We are protected, calm and peaceful. I wish I could have gotten a picture because words are just not enough to describe the difference I saw. I get more amazed by our creator ever day. He really is LOVE.
Jesus Calms a Storm
Jesus got into a boat, and his followers went with him. A great storm arose on the lake so that waves covered the boat, but Jesus was sleeping. His followers went to him and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We will drown!"
Jesus answered, "Why are you afraid? You don't have enough faith." Then Jesus got up and gave a command to the wind and the waves, and it became completely calm.
The men were amazed and said, "What kind of man is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!" Matthew 8: 23-27 (NCV)

Wonderful 3 day weekend!
Happy Labor Day! I am sitting out on my front porch this evening enjoying the breeze and the sounds of small town life. Chris is napping & the kids are playing. The weather is perfect! I love September & October! I can see my Lords artwork in the sky. Braxton knows I am partial to the clouds with the sun shining behind them, and he never misses a chance to tell me, “Mom, it’s like God is saying something to us.” I agree 100%! I don’t know how anyone can see God’s Glory all around us and deny the existence of God. The great I AM is in everything!
We had a really good weekend! Friday my Aunt Nancy & Uncle Ron took Chris, Brittany, Braxton, Mimi, Poppa & I out to dinner at the Fish Nest in Glenwood. We all had a great meal and an even better visit! We love to get to see all of them! We were not ready to leave! It was a great start to a great weekend!
Saturday we hung around the house most of the day then we headed out to the Alpine Fun Fest. We had some great Barbeque for dinner and the kids got to play. Braxton took several rides on the train and had a good time playing on the playground with his good buddy Beau. Brittany got to play with several kids she knew. We stayed till dark and of course the kids were still not ready to leave!
I was really looking forward to Sunday! I had started planning a surprise lunch for Chris at the John Benjamin Community Fishing Pond in Glenwood on Thursday. Thanks to Facebook I was able to pull it off J We had a great morning at Church worshipping our Lord. Then it was time to go to Paige & Jody’s house for lunch, so Chris thought. If he had known I had planned a picnic in his honor he would not have let me. Period. So we headed out from Church and I talked him in to driving up and looking at the pond. Wow was he surprised. His face was showing a constant state of shock at the more and more people who showed up. Especially when his coworkers started arriving. He was so glad to get to visit with so many friends! He only wished that he would have had more time to get to visit with everyone a lot more! He told me he was really glad I did it, but don’t do it again! I just can’t help it! My favorite book as a kid was a Strawberry Shortcake book about planning a party for her friends. I could not wait till I got old enough to do that myself! I just love the whole aspect! Guest, food, fun, visiting, making new friends, fellowship, I even enjoy the planning and putting up decorations! it’s just the clean up I don’t like!
I am so thankful to everyone who came out and helped make the day special. I am especially thankful to Mark & Julie Berry for sharing the story of how God healed their daughter. The kids had such a good time playing with all the other kids. I wish I would have gotten more pictures! I loved getting to visit with everyone!
A lot of us at the picnic wore our Fagan Friends in Faith T-shirts. I thought that was a really nice touch. If you would like to order one orders are due September 12th. They are $15 and come in sizes Youth small (6/8) up to XXXXL. Checks should be made out to Amity First Baptist Church. Email me with any orders or questions autumn_fagan@yahoo.com Any proceeds will go to our family for medical expenses.
We will be occurring quite a few pretty soon it seems. Chris had a doctors appointment Wednesday and we found out that his Doctor is sending him to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for 2nd opinions etc. He wants us to go to Minnesota because it has the largest cluster of doctors that specialize in Chris’ symptoms. I hope we get to go before it gets to cold! They make movies about how cold it is up there! Not for me!
We already have plane tickets. I got them back in July for a trip to Florida. They are Southwest tickets so we will be able to fly in to Minneapolis. It just amazes me how God works things out. Plane tickets would have been such a huge expenses, but we have already got them! We are excited for our Minnesota trip, to see what God has in store for us there!
Also, after talking to the doctor we decided disability is not the route Chris is going to go. With the insurance we have through his work they will pay for a lot more testing and things that disability insurance will not pay for. Chris is only having to work 32 hours a week now which is really helping a lot. His symptoms are much more pronounced when he gets tired. So not working 50+ hours a week is really helping. And all the prayers, God hears them and he is answering them! Chris has seemed like his old self this week! We have so many people telling us they are praying for us, it means so much! Thank you one and all! I had a friend send me a message today that she was watching the MDA Marathon & thinking of us and praying! Things like that really touch my heart!!
"Ask, and God will give to you. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will open for you. Yes, everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And everyone who knocks will have the door opened.
"If your children ask for bread, which of you would give them a stone? Or if your children ask for a fish, would you give them a snake? Even though you are bad, you know how to give good gifts to your children. How much more your heavenly Father will give good things to those who ask him! (Matthew 7: 7-11)
I want to share with you something I have really came to see more clearly lately. Since we found out about Chris’ diagnosis we have not watched anything on TV other than preaching or religious shows, the kids are still allowed to watch some pre-approved cartoons and our radio’s have only been tuned in to KLOVE. I still have the unwatched netflix DVD’s that I had the day we found out. I did not realize before how much of the “world” was coming into our home & into our & our children’s ears before. There is so much “smut” on the TV it is not even worth watching most of it. How are kids now suppose to learn any morals when so much that they watch on TV is telling them that its cool. Just do what ever you want, its all about you, have fun! Your young, its normal, enjoy it. BOLOGNA!!! (did u just the Oscar Myer song in your head? I did! Lol) Lets take teens that actually go to Church, they may spend an average of 3 hours a week in Church and another 2 in Bible study on their own. But how much TV or internet are they watching? What is it telling them is ok? I guess what I am getting at here is be careful and monitor those TV’s and computers. I have herd this before but really did not take heed, ah nothing we watch is hurting our kids… again BOLOGNA! They are sponges! The evil one will use any way he can to get to people and I think TV & the computer are two of his biggest tools today. And so much on it is just not good for our kids, its no good for us either! It wastes valuable time that we could spend doing so much more important things and we don’t need to be hearing or seeing that “smut” either.
This evening before Chris layed down to take his nap he asked, do you want to watch 30 minutes of preaching? Sure. We watched a Dr. Charles Stanley episode we had DVRD. It was really good. After words Chris said to me, “maybe God took away some of my strength to give me more of his.” You know I think he did! He has given us so much more spiritual strength during this “storm” than I think we could have ever got otherwise. Thank you Father! I love you all and hope you have a wonderful (short :) week!
